Tarrytown is one of Austin’s most desirable neighborhoods.    Like all of the other central Austin neighborhoods, the actual boundries of Tarrytown (and even the spelling Tarry Town) are somewhat in question.  Tarrytown proper does exist, but most people would refer to Tarrytown as the area bordered by Mopac, Lake Austin, and 35th street.  The homes in Tarrytown vary from a cozy sub 1000 square foot cottage all the way up to mega mansions valued at tens of millions of dollars.
